Description
Paint set of 8 Model Air colours in 17 ml. for painting the RAF Day Fighter aircraft from August 1941 until the end of the War, as well as the HF Interceptors (High Fighters). The set also includes colours for the PRU (Photographic Reconnaissance Unit) aircraft.
Contents:
- Ocean Grey (BS 629): Upper surface camouflage scheme for day fighters (Temperate Land) combined with Dark Green, used from 1941 until the end of the war.
- Dark Green (BS 241): Upper surface camouflage scheme for day fighters (Temperate Land) combined with Ocean Grey, used from 1941 until the end of the war.
- Medium Sea Grey (BS 637): Lower surface colour scheme for day fighters (Temperate Land) combined with Dark Green/Ocean Grey, used since 1941 until the end of the war and for upper surface fighters HF fighters combined with PRU Blue.
- Sky Type S (BS 210): Tactical markings, numbers and identification, as well as propeller cones.
- P.R.U. Blue (BS 636): General colour for Photographic Reconnaissance Units (PRU) of medium and high altitudes. Also used for the lower part of HF fighters.
- P.R.U. Pink (FS 31668): General colour for Photographic Reconnaissance Units (PRU) of medium and low altitudes.
- Night Black (BS 642): Invasion stripes alternating with the colour White, for the fuselage and both sides of the central part of the wings. Used before and during “D” day and the invasion of Normandy.
- White (FS 37875): Invasion stripes alternating with the colour Night Black, for the fuselage and both sides of the wings. Used before and during “D” day and the invasion of Normandy.
