Darkstar Molten Metals; My new favourite metallics!
Recently I’ve been looking for new metallics to add to my collection.
After hearing good things about the Darkstar Molten Metals range, I decided to pick up a couple to give them a try.
For clarity, I use a standard handbrush rather than an airbrush.

I went for Antique Gold and Regency Gold, and after a few tests on some smaller areas, I was impressed enough to use them on a friends Bastian Carthalos.
They’re incredibly smooth to paint with, and give great coverage, resulting in wonderfully rich tones.

I primed with The Colour Forge Gauntlet Gold spray before moving on to the Darkstar Metal paints.
I used Antique Gold as a base for Bastian, painting the raised areas with Regency Gold. A wash with Reikland Fleshshade Gloss to shade the recesses gives a vibrant, warm finish.

I’m definitely going to be picking up more from this range, and I’d heartily recommend them to anyone looking for great quality metallic paints!
