Description
Destroyers are classified as vessels between frigate and light cruiser tonnage. Typically, they hunt in packs in a manner more akin to escorts than capital
ships. Although Destroyers have many and varied roles, a common feature is an ability to inflict high levels of damage for their size – especially against
larger prey.
This set includes parts to make up to three Scourge Destroyers. They can be assembled as three different classes: Succubus, Incubus, and Revenant. You can make a mixture of classes, or all the same.
Experimental rules for Scourge Destroyers can be found here.
Resin miniatures supplied unpainted and unassembled with multi-part plastic bases.
CourteousMongoose (verified owner) –
The Scourge Destroyers are probably the least pretty models in the Scourge range and the least pretty of all of the DropFleet Commander destroyers, but they are still far from ugly and the material and casting quality and level of detail on the models is of the DropFleet range’s usual high quality. Which is good, because the Succubus variant is the closest to indispensable that any ship that doesn’t carry troops can be in this game for its ability to reliably shoot down strike carriers that are already in atmosphere or protect your own strike carriers from enemy corvettes. The Revenant is also very good as a cheap and unusually well-armed carrier. The Incubus strikes me as a bit lacklustre, but I can see a use for its light furnace cannon in lighting up large targets to set up long-ranged strikes from your other ships (even if long range is really not where the Scourge live).
